FAQ - Candeeland Colorado (2024)

Frequently Asked Questions

You have questions. We have answers.

We appreciate your interest in visiting Candeeland Kids in Greenwood Village, Colorado!

Here are some answers for your commonly asked questions – feel free to contact us if you can’t find what you are looking for!

General Questions

Is there a minimum or maximum age to play?

We welcome guests of all ages to play and enjoy all we have to offer! We have a dedicated contained toddler area, “LittleLand” for guests 4 and under. We encourage parents, grandparents, caregivers and older siblings to play with their kids as well, so come ready for fun! We also have comfortable areas for parents to relax or get some work done while the kids play if that is what works best for you.

What are your hours and directions?

We are located at 7969 E Arapahoe Rd, Unit B, in Greenwood Village, Colorado. We are next door to Pindustry and share the building with PickUp USA.

Our hours are:

10am – 8pm Mon-Thur
10am – 9pm Fri
9am – 9pm Sat-Sun

We can’t wait to see you!

Is any special equipment or clothing required?

Like many indoor play places, we do require kids to wear grippy socks while playing in our facility. We encourage grown-ups to go play too and suggest grip socks for them too. We have a wide range of sizes available for $3 each or you are welcome to bring your own from home.
We suggest that kids wear long pants versus shorts or dresses/skirts for comfort, but that’s up to them/you!

We ask that you please be conservative with those recently potty trained and when in doubt have them wear a diaper or pull-up while at Candeeland. There is nothing we like less than to have to close the ball pit for cleaning for 10-12 hours due to a “code yellow” or worse, “code brown”!

Can I buy entrance tickets in advance?

Yes! You can buy tickets for admission, monthly memberships, date night drop-offs, gift cards and more on this page of our website.

Please note that purchasing tickets online does not guarantee you admission at a particular time. We VERY rarely hit capacity and have to turn anyone away (2 times in our first year of business), but on busy holiday mornings there may be a line for admissions. We will do our best to take care of members and pre-bookings as quickly as possible. Please make sure everyone in your party has completed waivers prior to arrival!

What is included with my admission?

Your admission includes play time on our huge structures and ninja course for as long as you’d like to stay (you can even leave and come back as long as your kiddos keep their wrist bands on!). It also includes the climbing wall (facilitated by our staff) for no additional charge. Playing the arcade games (including the laser maze) is an additional cost and cards can be purchased up front or at the kiosk in the arcade area. Other optional additions are food and drink available in our cafe as well as an amazing candy store to satisfy that sweet tooth on your way out.

Can I bring in outside food and drink?

We have a high quality fast and casual cafe with a menu that appeals to both kids and their grown-ups for reasonable prices. Part of our business model is to have our guests purchase meals, drinks and snacks from our cafe, and without that we can’t be successful overall. We can also run into sticky situations with local health codes and regulations by allowing outside food. That having been said, we have no desire to be a food police and we want you to have the snacks and drinks you need and want for your family.

If you want to have a meal while at Candeeland, please purchase from our cafe. We do not allow prepared food from outside vendors. If you need a quick snack, we have options for you as well, but if your kid only eats one brand of cheese sticks or you just can’t have a fun day without your favorite kombucha from Whole Foods, we’d rather you bring it along than not come at all. If our menu doesn’t work for you for some reason you can always leave for lunch and come back (assuming you purchased the unlimited play option).

For our birthday party packages, we do allow families to bring a cake or cupcakes, and if you have specific dietary needs or other reasons that the food we provide does not work for your group please let us know and we will work with you. This only applies to events in the private party rooms.

Can I bring a few friends and have a little party in your cafe area?

Out of consideration for our other guests, and because we offer private party rooms, we do not allow informal parties in our cafe or any other areas of our facility. This means no presents, decorations, cake/cupcakes (we don’t allow outside prepared food outside of the party rooms anyway), etc. We really want everyone to feel welcome and we love it when people choose to celebrate their birthday with us, but this is a slippery slope to go down so we need to be firm and make sure it doesn’t become a problem.

Perhaps most importantly, please do not “set up shop” at tables when you’re not actively using them so that they are unavailable for other customers, especially on our busy days.

Thank you for your understanding on this!

Do I have to wear grip socks on the play equipment?

Yes. Our grip socks have been shown to make it easier and safer to enjoy our play structures, and they also help reduce germ transmission. We require clean grip socks all kiddos in the play areas. You can bring your own from elsewhere, but we have cool Candeeland ones available for $3 when you enter. We strongly recommend that any adults intending to play with their kids in the main play structure have grips socks as well. You can absolutely wash them and bring them back for future visits!
No shoes or bare feet are allowed in the play areas at any time.

Can I drop my kids off to play while I run some errands?

Most of the time, no. For general admission you are responsible for your children at all times. We ask that you keep an eye on them and even better, join them! We want to be a family destination for fun for all ages!

We do have some special occasions where we run drop-off programs. Check our Date Nights and Sweet Summer Camps for more information!

Do you have any discounts or specials?

Generally speaking, we try to keep our prices as low as possible for everyone rather than offering a lot of discounts, coupons and specials. Toddlers 3 and under are $18 on weekdays (only $12 on Toddler Tuesdays!). We offer admission discounts for military members and teachers with current ID. We have a monthly membership options that gives you unlimited visits. We also offer various discounts for groups of 10 or more depending on the day and time and specific details of the group. Contact us for details!

Do you offer discounts for large groups?

We love seeing more smiles at our facility. We offer discounts for school and child care groups and will consider other situations on a case by case basis. Please contact us (email fun@CandeelandColorado.com) and we will help you out!

Can I sign a waiver before I arrive?

Yes! You can find our online waiver here. Please be sure that each adult member of your party fills one out. Minors are added to the adult waiver after you fill out your own information. Every person entering the facility must have a completed waiver (parents, kids, grandparents, babies, your crazy uncle, etc!). We have waiver stations available when you arrive if you’d prefer not to fill it out in advance.

Who pays what admission fees?

All entrances to Candeeland Greenwood are for unlimited play time. Kids are considered to be anyone under 16 and general admission is $26. Toddlers 3 and under are just $18 Monday-Friday and only $12 on Toddler Tuesdays. Adults 16 and up pay just $1 for admission as do infants less than 12 months with a paid sibling.

What is your capacity and will it be crowded?

Our official capacity is just under 500 people and when we get anywhere close to that it is VERY busy in here! Our very busiest days are single day holidays in the winter, namely MLK and Presidents Days, and any time Douglas County along with at least one other school district are off from school. Winter weekends, especially Saturdays, are also very busy.

We offer field trips primarily on school holidays (including all summer), which are groups of 20-65 kids, usually elementary aged.

Tons of our guests don’t mind the chaos and come see us on our busiest days and have a great time! If you’d prefer to come when it’s quieter, see the next question…

When should I come if I want it to be less busy?

If you have some flexibility in your schedule and would prefer to visit Candeeland when it’s less busy, your very best bet is any time from Monday morning to Friday mid-afternoon, as long as it’s not a school holiday. We rarely have anything resembling a crowd during those times. Toddler Tuesday is a bit busier due to the special we offer that day, but still nothing like the weekends.

If you can only come on a weekend, Sunday first thing in the morning or in the last few hours of the day is generally quieter than anytime Saturday or midday-mid afternoon Sundays.

If you’re curious about what we have scheduled or how busy we expect to be on any given day you can always email us at fun@candeelandcolorado.com.

What special events do you have?

We run special events both weekly and seasonally and invite you to participate in whatever works well for you and your family!

Once a week are “Toddler Tuesdays”, where kids and 3 and under are just $12 all day long!
On Wednesdays we have “Date Night Drop-off” where kids ages 6-12 can play, hang out with our awesome staff, and have pizza for dinner while their adults head out for a child-free evening.
During June and July we offer week-long “Sweet Summer Camps” for ages 6-10.

We have Easter Egg hunts, Halloween costume competitions, Santa story-time, and plenty of other holiday events as well. Stay tuned on our social media for the most up-to-date info about all these events.

Can we come in just to play the arcade games?

You are more than welcome to focus your time on the arcade, but everyone is required to pay admission regardless of which areas of the facility they are using. Arcade cards are an additional purchase that can be made at the front desk or the kiosk in the arcade area.

How do you keep it so clean?!

We take pride in keeping Candeeland clean and sparkling. We employ hard working janitorial staff 7 days a week and our customer service staff does regular cleaning rounds as well. We have a state-of-the-art ball cleaning machine and clean and sanitize the Littleland ball pit weekly and the larger ninja course pit at least monthly (random incidents often force us to clean it much more often!). Check out this time-lapse of the process! We also spray a non-toxic disinfectant on a regular basis.

If you ever see any areas that needs cleaning attention while visiting Candeeland, please just let our staff know and we will take care of it right away!

Parties and Events

How do I book a birthday party?

We are currently reserving birthday party rooms for dates starting February 1st, 2023. Visit our parties and events page for details!

What is your schedule/itinerary for parties?

Our birthday parties follow a 2-hour itinerary. However, all parties include unlimited play time so you and your guests are welcome to stay and play afterwards for as long as you would like!

Our parties begin on the hour from 9am to 6pm on weekends (slightly reduced hours for weekday parties).

Here’s the itinerary, using the 9am time slot as an example:

Party Start Time: 9am

  • Check in and pay your balance
  • Guests check in and get grip socks – head off to play!
  • You can put smallish items on a cart set aside for you – large items should stay in the car

Room Set Up Time: 9:30am

  • You have half an hour to set up the room
  • Use only the non-marking putty that we provide for hanging on the walls
  • No tinsel, glitter, confetti, silly string or piñatas please!
  • Clean up and take away decorations afterwards

Party Time: 10-11am

  • Food, cake, presents 🙂
  • If we are providing pizza or other food we will provide plates and utensils for that
  • Please bring your own decorative plates and/or utensils for cake and/or other food you are providing
  • No outside alcohol is permitted since we do have a beer and wine license

The later time slots repeat on the same schedule.

What is included with my party?

Our birthday party packages all include:

  • 1.5 hours in a private party room – 30 minutes for set-up and 60 minutes of party time
  • A fabulous host to help with anything you need
  • Up to 10 kids included with no additional charge (20 for a double room)

All packages also include the following for each child:

  • Unlimited play time admission
  • Grip socks
  • Bottled water

The Peppermint package also includes food:

  • Large cheese or pepperoni pizzas to accommodate at least 2 slices per registered child
  • 3 refillable pitchers of fountain drinks

The Gummy Bear package does not include food, but includes perks:

  • $20 arcade card with extra tickets for the guest of honor
  • Guest of honor return admission

The Lollipop package includes it all!

  • Large cheese or pepperoni pizzas to accommodate at least 2 slices per registered child
  • 3 refillable pitchers of fountain drinks
  • $10 arcade cards with pre-loaded prize tickets for each party guest
  • $20 arcade card with extra tickets for the guest of honor
  • Guest of honor return admission

How many kids & adults can I bring to my party?

Our single party rooms fit 10-15 kids comfortably (up to 20 if they’re snug). Each room has 2 handmade picnic tables for the kids and some chairs around the outside. Depending on the number of adults you are inviting, there may not be room for all of them in the rooms themselves (the official room capacity of a single is 21 people). We suggest you limit your total party size to these numbers, or extra adults are welcome to hang out in the cafe right outside the party rooms or wherever they are comfortable.

The double room is double the size and twice the capacity. Single packages include 10 kids and double packages include 20 kids. Additional kids can be added for the per head rate listed for that package.

What is the double room and who should book it?

Our double sized party room is simply our 2 front rooms with the wall between them pulled back. While single room packages include 10 kids in the base price, the double includes 20 kids. It’s really just 2 single bookings combined, so you get double the space, double the admissions and any inclusions, and it’s double the price.

We recommend a single room for groups of less than 20 kids without a ton of adults that plan to be in the room at the same time. If you have a lot of adults or more than 20 kids, we recommend booking the double room.

Can I bring my own food for my party?

We have a high quality fast and casual cafe with a menu that appeals to both kids and their grown-ups for reasonable prices. We have party packages that include pizza and you can always add other menu items as well. Part of our business model is to have our guests purchase meals, drinks and snacks from our cafe, and without that we can’t be successful overall, so if possible, please purchase your party food from our cafe.

We do allow families to bring a cake or cupcakes to their events in the private party rooms, and if you have specific dietary needs or other reasons that the food we provide does not work for your group please let us know and we will work with you.

Do you have storage available for my cake/food/drinks?

We do not have any extra storage space in our kitchen so we unfortunately cannot keep your food cold before, during or after your party room time. Please plan accordingly (ie no ice cream or ice cream cake!). You will have a dedicated party cart where you can store cake, presents, decorations, etc.
We strongly encourage you to purchase your party food from our kitchen. Not only does it support our new business (thank you so much!) but it means less work for you and less to prepare, coordinate and clean up afterwards!

Can I bring decorations for my party?

You are welcome to bring decorations for your kiddo’s party. You will have 30 minutes of set up time prior to your hour in the party room. We just ask that you only use the non-marking putty that we provide on the walls so you don’t damage the paint, and that you clean up and take away your decorations when the party is over. Please no tinsel, glitter, confetti, silly string or piñatas for the sake of our clean up crew!

What is your deposit and cancelation policy?

Parties are reserved with a $200 deposit. $100 is non-refundable and the other $100 is refundable up to 14 days prior to the event. Within 14 days there is no refund. The balance is due at check in on the day of the party.

We will need to receive final details including the total number of kids and any package or menu requests or adjustments by 48 hours prior to your party’s start time.

Can I bring some friends and have a party in your cafe area?

Out of consideration for our other guests, and because we offer private party rooms, we do not allow informal parties in our cafe or any other areas of our facility. This means no decorations, cake/cupcakes (we don’t allow outside prepared food outside of the party rooms anyway), presents, etc.

What should I do to make sure my party goes as smoothly as possible?

The most important things you can do to insure you have a smooth party experience with us are:

  1. Make sure ALL your guests fill out their waivers in advance. Kids, adults, babies all need to have acurrent waiver on file with us. Adults each fill out their own and minors are added to adult waivers. It doesn’t matter if they’re planning to play in the structure or not – any human coming into the building must complete this step. Ideally you will send out the custom waiver link you get upon booking so that your guests waivers are linked to your party, but as long as everyone has one on file we’ll be able to get them checked in efficiently.
  2. Get us your guest list and food order when we email to ask for it a few days ahead of the party. Without your guest list we don’t know who to admit, so you may end up paying for kids you didn’t intend to invite.
  3. Show up on time at least 15 minutes before any of your guests so we can get final payments take care of and go over all the party details without being rushed.
  4. Vacate the room promptly when your party is over and make sure all presents, decorations, leftovers, etc go back on your party cart and up to the front of the store or back to your car.
  5. Communicate with the party staff about how we can help you have an amazing event and we’ll do our best to make it happen!

Can I rent the facility for a private function?

We do have private facility rental available. This is general recommended for groups of 100 or more, and rates vary significantly depending on the date and time. Please contact us at fun@candeelandcolorado.com for a quote. We will need to know a bit about your group, approximately how many adults and kids, and what date(s) and times might work for you.

What do you offer for field trips and other large groups?

The more happy and tired smiles the better, so we love it when field trips and other groups of kids come visit us at Candeeland! If you run a child care program or have a large group of kids (generally more than about 20) you’d like to bring to Candeeland, please reach out to us at fun@candeelandcolorado.com with details like how many kids, the age range, and when you’d like to visit and we’ll send you all the details. Please note that we generally don’t have availability for large groups on weekends as we simply don’t have space!

Do you offer fundraising opportunities for schools and other entities?

Yes!! We love to support our local schools and other organizations that educate and take care of kiddos! We offer fundraiser events on Monday – Thursday afternoons where we give 30% back to your organization. Please reach out to us at fun@candeelandcolorado.com for all the details!
