Bisquick Sausage Balls

I like to keep a box of Bisquick baking mix(NO affiliation) in my pantry for easy cooking. My husband makes pancakes with it. I have a couple of breakfast casseroles that call for it. And, this recipe uses Bisquick as the ‘glue’ that holds these cheesy appetizer balls together.

What Dipping Sauce Goes With This

I’ve tried several dipping sauces with this recipe. It seems like just about any sauce works great. Here are some ideas.

  • Ranch Dip
  • Marinara Sauce
  • Honey Mustard
  • BBQ Sauce
  • Sweet & Sour Sauce
  • Ketchup

Can These Be Made Ahead Of Time

Yes they can!

Refrigerator: Roll up the balls and place them on a baking sheet. Cover the baking sheet with plastic wrap. Store in the refrigerator. Remove the pan from the refrigerator as the oven is preheating. Remove the plastic wrap. Then, bake as usual.

Freezer: If you want to prepare these well in advance, roll the balls and place them on a baking sheet. Place the baking sheet in the freezer just until the balls are frozen. Transfer the balls to a sealable container (zip top freezer bags work). Store in the freezer. When you’re ready to make them, place them on the baking pan. Then, let the frozen balls bake 10 minutes longer than the recipe calls for (35 minutes).

Bake to an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.
